Glenn Allison CA announces retirement from Stewart Milne Group

Former ICAS President Glenn Allison CA has announced he will be stepping down as CEO of Aberdeen-based Stewart Milne Group after more than 30 years with the company.

Glenn qualified as a CA in 1979 and was elected as ICAS President for the 2008/09 term. He has also previously served as Vice Chairman of CBI Scotland and will be succeeded at Stewart Milne Group by current COO Stuart MacGregor.

Group Chairman Stewart Milnes said: "(Glenn) has been instrumental to the ongoing success of the business and I am
incredibly grateful to him for all his hard work, support, counsel and expertise over these years.

"He will be greatly missed and the whole group wishes him an enjoyable and rewarding retirement."

Newly-merged BDO

Following the recently finalised merger between BDO and Moore Stephens LLP, the firm has appointed three new Partners as part of the expansion.

Simon Greaves joins the forensics team from Berkeley Research Group, Leighton Thomas has moved into the audit team from PwC, and Matt Lister is now a Partner in corporate finance, also joining BDO from PwC.

Paul Eagland, BDO Managing Partner, said: "We are only [three] months into 2019, and our recent merger with Moore Stephens LLP has set the tone for a great year ahead as we continue to attract the best and brightest talent across all levels.

New CFO to join Britvic PLC

Britvic PLC has announced the appointment of Joanne Wilson to the Board in the role of CFO.

She joins the company from Dunnhumby, part of Tesco PLC, where she is CFO. Joanne is a member of the Insitute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW).

Simon Litherland, Britvic PLC Chief Executive Officer, commented: "Joanne brings considerable retail, digital and consumer experience. This, coupled with her commercial and financial expertise, will be invaluable as we continue to successfully execute our strategy and ambitious performance and growth plans."

PKF Littlejohn announce Chief Digital Officer role

Phil Broadbery has taken up the newly created role of Chief Digital Officer at PKF Littlejohn.

He moves into the position from PKF International, where he has acted as Chief Information Officer for six years. The new office will be responsible for digital client services, including data analytics, cybersecurity and cloud technology.

Speaking to his appointment, Phil said: "Clients rightly expect high-quality, seamless solutions that protect data across company and country boundaries, the challenge of delivering these is one I relish."

RSM appoints four new Partners in London

New Partners have been announced in RSM's tax faculty, accounting and business advisory practice, and technology consulting team based in London.

Sheena McGuinness and Paul Clark bring their experience in tax to the practice, both having spent over 20 years in the sector. Peter Allen joins the firm as Co-Head of Financial Services and Theresa Guermellou brings her expertise in organisational change to lead on finance transformation.
