Colin Rutherford CA appointed NED of NewRiver

Real Estate Investment Trust NewRiver has named Colin Rutherford CA as a Non-Executive Director.

Colin is currently Audit Committee Chairman and sits on the board of restaurant, pub and bar operator Mitchells & Butlers.

He is also on the Board and Audit Committee of shipping company Renaissance Services SAOG and Evofem Biosciences.

Colin is Chairman of Brookgate Limited, a property development business.

Margaret Ford, Non-Executive Chairman of NewRiver, said: "I am delighted to welcome Colin to the NewRiver Board.

"Colin brings with him a wealth of experience from his various leadership roles in public and private companies across a wide range of highly relevant sectors including retail, property development and leisure, pubs and hospitality."

New VP and UK Country Manager at Intuit

Intuit, the creators of accounting software QuickBooks, has announced the appointment of Chris Evans as Vice President and UK Country Manager.

Chris has been with Intuit for eight years and moves into his new role from the position of UK Sales Director.

He will be succeeding Dominic Allon who is taking on the role of Senior Vice President International.

Chris said: “I’m privileged to become UK Country Manager and lead a talented team in the third best workplace in the UK."

Johnston Carmichael appoints new Director

Accountancy and business advisory firm Johnston Carmichael has named Peter Courtney as Tax Director.

Peter joins the firm from HMRC, where he most recently led the international investigation team for large businesses in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Peter said: “I am very excited about joining Johnston Carmichael, and its extensive tax team.

"I have been extremely impressed by the firm’s ambition and its plans to be the voice of taxation in Scotland."

New Director joins Deloitte

Deloitte has announced that Aadam Brown will join the firm in March as Director in its Financial Advisory business.

Aadam will join the Big Four firm from STJ Advisors where he was Head of UK.

Chris Nicholls, Partner and Head of the Equity Capital Markets & PLC Advisory Team at Deloitte, said: "Building on Deloitte’s success in IPO advisory for companies such as AJ Bell, Xafinity and Morses Club, the addition of Aadam with his wealth of ECM experience, will help us continue to grow our market share in the provision of independent advice."

Sony Interactive Entertainment names new President and CEO

Video game and digital entertainment company Sony Interactive Entertainment has named Jim Ryan as President and CEO.

Jim, who is currently Deputy President of the company which launched the PlayStation, will take on the role in April.

Jim said "It's a huge honour to be asked to take on the role of President and CEO of SIE.

"I've seen the PlayStation business grow and change massively since the very early days, and I hope to be able to put that experience to good use in reinforcing the foundations of the Game & Network Service business, and in evolving the entertainment that PlayStation offers to its engaged and passionate community."
