Sergey Maltsev CA joins Linnworks

Sergey Maltsev CA has been announced as Head of Finance and Operations at Linnworks.

Sergey will leave his current role as Transfer Pricing Director at FTI Consulting in September to join the e-commerce order management software company.

Prior to his role at FTI, Sergey was Senior Economic Analyst (Transfer Pricing & Operating Model Effectiveness) at EY.

Mazars announces appointment of CO-CEOs

Michelle Olckers and Anoop Ninan have been appointed as the new joint Chief Executive Officers (co-CEOs) of Mazars South Africa, effective 1 September 2018.

The newly appointed co-CEOs will take over from current Mazars SA Chairman, Hilton Saven, who is retiring after 43 years of service to Mazars, having led the business for 24 years. Hilton will stay on at the firm as a consultant.

Michelle said: “We believe that the co-CEO roles provide the right level of capacity and prioritisation required for the fulfillment of the firm’s objectives, and demonstrate the firm’s commitment to transformation and diversity.”

Brodies appoints new Corporate Tax Partner

Law firm Brodies has appointed Karen Davidson to Partner in its Corporate Tax and Incentives team.

Karen will join Brodies in September from EY where she has spent the last two years a Director.

Nick Scott, Managing Partner, Brodies, said: "We are pleased that [our clients] will be able to benefit from Karen’s considerable expertise in an area that continues to change and where tax divergence is a key theme both here in Scotland and the wider UK.

"This is the right time to be scaling up our practice. We look forward to welcoming Karen to the firm.”

New Director of Finance named at  University of Edinburgh

Lee Hamill has been appointed as the University of Edinburgh's new Director of Finance.

Currently Deputy Director of Finance for the University, Lee, who succeeds Phil McNaull, will begin his role on 1 January 2019.

Lee joined the University of Edinburgh in 2015 having worked previously for BT and PwC.

Hugh Edmiston, Director of Corporate Services, University of Edinburgh, said: “We’re delighted at the appointment of Lee Hamill to this senior role within the University at an important time in the Higher Education sector, and I’m sure he will do an excellent job.”

Richemont announces new CEO

Jérôme Lambert has been named Group Chief Executive Officer of Cartier owners Richemont.

He moves into the role from Group Chief Operating Officer.

Johann Rupert, Chairman, Richemont, said: Jérôme’s new role sees him taking responsibility for the Group’s future growth at a time when consumer habits are changing significantly.

"As we position the Group to meet these challenges, he will lead the development of strategic plans reflecting the long-term objectives and priorities established by the Board."
