Keith Cochrane CA CBE appointed Chairman of Schenck Process

Hugh Anderson CA announced as new Director of Finance for SRUC
Hugh Anderson CA will take over as Director of Finance at Scotland's Rural College (SRUC) from March 2018.
He is currently Finance Director at The Digital Health and Care Institute (DHI) and was a Co-Founder of Forth Metrics in 2010. Hugh has also held senior financial roles at Searchbolt, Novotech Investment, and Scottish & Newcastle. He qualified as a CA with Arthur Andersen in 1994.
Hugh commented: "I am really looking forward to joining the team at SRUC and helping the College to fulfil its strategic ambitions over the coming years. It is a hugely exciting challenge and I can’t wait to get started."
Connor Trendell CA joins FPE Capital as Investment Manager
Connor Trendell CA has moved into the role of Investment Manager at FPE Capital.
He joins from Deloitte, where he worked for over six years, most recently in the TMT M&A Advisory team. He qualified as a CA in 2015 with the Big Four firm.
David Barbour, Managing Partner at FPE Capital, said: "Connor has extensive transaction experience in the UK lower mid-market and a strong commitment to growth capital. We had worked with him and his team at Deloitte and have been impressed with his professionalism and his desire to work in the UK lower mid-market."
KPMG UK names new Chief Technology Officer
David Ferbrache has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer Cyber at KPMG UK.
He has been with the firm for five years, working as a leading innovator for cybersecurity. David has over 30 years' experience in the technology sector, including various senior roles at the UK Ministry of Defense, most recently as Head of Cyber & Space.
Bernard Brown, KPMG UK Vice Chair, said: “As cyber-attacks occur with increasing regularity [businesses] are looking for teams who can help them defend and maintain their business in the face of increasing cyber challenges. This has reflected in the growth of our team and over the past few years our cyber security team has grown rapidly."
BDO appoints two Partners to audit practice
BDO has announced the addition of two new Partners to their Reading-based audit practice.
Ian Oliver joins from EY where he specialised in advising high-growth clients in the technology and life sciences sectors. Gavin Crawford previously worked with PwC for 19 years and has extensive experience with large international groups as clients.
