Two CAs promoted at EQ Accountants
EQ Accountants has announced the promotion of three Senior Managers to Principle Managers.
Rachel Bell CA, based in the Dundee office, joined the firm as a trainee in 2008. Following her success in the ICAS exams, Rachel specialised in taxation, qualifying as a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) in 2014.
Rachel has significant technical expertise in corporate taxation, specialising in Research and Development Tax Credit claims. She now heads up the firm’s ‘Transaction Tax’ group, dealing with the purchase, sale or restructuring of a business.
Scott Greig CA, who is based in EQ’s Cupar office, commenced his CA trainee-ship in 2009, qualifying in 2012.
Having moved from the Forfar office in 2015 to strengthen EQ’s agricultural expertise and build relationships with both intermediaries and clients, Scott has been instrumental in the success of the Cupar office over the years and is key to its continued development, both in terms of his agricultural and commercial sector knowledge.
Robert Young was promoted in the firm’s Forfar office.

RSM promotes Linda Gray CA to Partner
RSM has announced the promotion of Linda Gray CA to partner in the firm's audit team in Glasgow.
Linda joined the firm as a trainee in 1999 and has over 20 years’ audit experience. She also specialises in pensions and leads the Scottish pensions practice from the Glasgow office advising on statutory audit, assurance and financial reporting.
Alan Aitchison, RSM’s Office Managing Partner in Glasgow, said: "I’m delighted to announce our latest partner promotion. The appointment is testimony to Linda’s individual talent, and her contribution to the Scottish audit practice to date."
Intel names new CFO and Executive Vice President
Intel has announced the appointment of George S. Davis as Executive Vice President and CFO.
George will oversee Intel’s global finance organisation, including finance, accounting and reporting, tax, treasury, internal audit and investor relations. He will also oversee Intel’s IT organisation.

New Chair and CEO announced at Deloitte & Touche LLP
Deloitte US has appointed Lara Abrash as chair and CEO of Deloitte & Touche LLP, leading Deloitte's US Audit & Assurance practice.
Lara is currently deputy CEO of Deloitte's U.S. Audit & Assurance practice and a member of the Deloitte US Board of Directors.
"I am honoured to serve as the next chair and CEO of Deloitte & Touche LLP," said Lara.
"The audit profession serves as a critical foundation to the financial markets - and I look forward to leading continuous transformation of our audit and assurance services to enhance quality and meet the evolving needs of the capital markets."
Local Pensions Partnership appoints CFO
Pension services business Local Pensions Partnership has announced the appointment of Adrian Taylor as the company's CFO.
Adrian joined the business as interim CFO in November 208 from Edmond de Rothschild where he held the role of Finance Director.
Michael O’Higgins, Chair of Local Pensions Partnership, said: “Adrian’s experience, knowledge and values mean he is perfectly suited to leading LPP’s financial management during this pivotal triennial valuation year, while playing a key role in taking the whole business forward over the long-term."
