Jo Fletcher CA named CFO of PGA European tour

The PGA European Tour has appointed Jo Fletcher CA as its new Chief Financial Officer. She will take overall financial responsibility for the golf group – which comprises the European Tour, the European Challenge Tour and the European Senior Tour as well as being managing partner of Ryder Cup Europe.

Jo joins from Vodafone Americas where she was also CFO.

She spent the first six years of her career at Ernst & Young, then joined Deloitte in the lead advisory team, corporate finance, in 2004 before taking on the role of vice-president, finance, at TELUS Communications, based in Vancouver.

Keith Pelley, European Tour CEO, said: “As any company grows, it is imperative to have an experienced and accomplished senior finance executive on board. Jo’s knowledge … will be a huge asset to the European Tour.”

ICAS names Acting Chair of the ICAS Strategy & Research Advisory Group

Professor Lisa Evans CA named Acting Chair of the ICAS Strategy & Research Advisory Group (formerly the Research Committee).

Lisa is professor of accounting at Stirling Management School, University of Stirling. She is also a member of the management committee of the European Accounting Association (EAA).

She previously served as editor of the EAA’s journal Accounting in Europe, and as a member of the EAA’s Financial Reporting Standards Committee.

Guy Jubb CA will assume the role of acting chair of the ICAS Strategy & Research Advisory Group on 1 July and Lisa will become deputy chair. 

International Personal Finance appoints new CFO

Justin Lockwood has been named CFO of personal and digital loans company International Personal Finance (IPF).

Justin previously held the role of IPF’s Head of Finance and became Interim CFO in September of last year.

Justin joined IPF as Group Head of Finance in March 2010 having previously held senior finance positions at Associated British Ports and Marshalls plc.  

He is a chartered accountant and spent the first decade of his career working for PwC in the UK and Australia.

Gerard Ryan, Chief Executive Officer of IPF, commented: “We are delighted to appoint Justin as CFO of IPF. After a thorough and extensive search process, the Board concluded that Justin’s experience and depth of insight into the markets in which IPF operates made him the most suitable candidate for this role.”

Guy Munnoch named Chair of Hitachi Capital UK

Financial solutions provider Hitachi Capital UK has announced Guy Munnoch as Chairman of the Board.

Guy, previously CEO of Zurich Financial Services in the UK and South Africa, has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry.

He has also held senior positions in both Aviva and Allianz. Before beginning his career in finance, Guy served over 20 years with the British Army.    

QBE appoints David McMillan as COO

Insurance provider QBE has named David McMillan as Group Chief Operations Officer.

David joins QBE from Aviva plc, where he was CEO of AvivaEurope and Chairman of Global Health Insurance.

David joined Aviva in 2002 following almost 10 years with the management consulting arm of PwC.

John Neal, Group Chief Executive Officer, said, “David’s experience and track record see him well-qualified to lead QBE’s operations, claims and technology activities.

“As CEO of Aviva Europe David led the division through a major four-year turnaround, galvanising distribution and improving the product offering. Immediately prior to this, David was Transformation Director, working closely with the Group Chairman to build the turnaround plan for Aviva globally.”
