Get ready for auto-enrolment changes

A new advertising campaign targeting small and micro employers was launched this month , urging them to 'Act now' and find out when the changes in the law apply to them.

Research by The Pensions Regulator suggests that 7 out of 10 employers will ask a business adviser for help on automatic enrolment.

We send all employers an essential guide to help them get started. This guide will help you understand the basics before they come to you.

Have you been nominated as a secondary contact?

While the responsibility for implementing automatic enrolment lies with the employer, they are able to nominate a business advisor as their secondary point of contact.  If you are nominated you will receive regular, important information at key points prior to your client's staging date, which will help you keep track of their progress and support them through the stages in the automatic enrolment process.

Download an online form for your clients to complete and submit to ensure you don't miss out on important communications.

Do you have the information you need?

Automatic enrolment applies to every employer in the UK, and while it's automatic for workers, it's not automatic for employers.  With more than 1.3 small and micro employers affected by the new law, your clients are likely to be asking you for information, help and support.

The Pensions Regulator publishes a monthly newsletter - 'News-by-email: Spotlight on Automatic Enrolment' – which includes a combination of news stories, educational features and current updates on new products, tools and guidance and useful links and information.
