About the role:
We are currently recruiting a Transfer Pricing Manager in the Global Tax Department, based at Inchinnan science park behind Glasgow Airport. The team is accountable for all corporate tax compliance and transfer pricing outside of the US across 70+ countries.
The team of 20 tax professionals, covering Global corporate tax and transfer pricing is led by Georgina Green, Tax Director. The Global Transfer Pricing team is currently made up of 1 Senior Transfer Pricing Manager, 2 Tax Managers and 4 Analysts who report to the Senior Transfer Pricing Manager. This presents an excellent opportunity for a first class, qualified tax or finance professional from an accounting firm, or from another industry setting with a desire to progress their career within corporate tax.
The Manager will be part of a recently formed inhouse transfer pricing local file documentation team with an assigned portfolio of legal entities covering a variety of jurisdictions. Responsibilities include timely preparation, coordination with inhouse and external resources, and review of transfer pricing documentation in compliance with relevant guidelines; participation in functional analysis interviews and documentation of results; technical analysis and resolution of transfer pricing technical issues; continuous improvement through the review and monitoring of the transfer pricing processes and risks with focus toward initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce risk and improve accuracy of the process, develop understanding of the Groups transfer pricing policies, commercial and supply chain operations, provide education to stakeholders on transfer pricing methodology and documentation requirements, stay abreast of global tax law changes and impact to transfer pricing documentation, plan and organize workload for self and team, develop self and others through effective supervising and coaching of staff and collaborating with other teams, ad-hoc tax queries and projects.
About the individual:
The Transfer Pricing Manager role requires a strong finance professional, with project management skills, planning and work prioritization that meets deadlines and delivers quality output. Ideally, 5-7 years transfer pricing experience within a professional services firm/ large corporate Tax knowledge. Strong analytical/research skills coupled with an in-depth understanding of transfer pricing regulations. Experience with transfer pricing technology platforms and automation tools, experience with HFM, SAP and other reporting systems and strong interpersonal, analytical thinking and organizational skills.
You will have:
- Professional Accounting Qualification, ACA or ACCA, or equivalent experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong communication, problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills with ability to interact on all levels.
- Efficient application of project management skills demonstrated through planning and prioritization of work and delivering quality output.
- Experience in financial modelling and application of financial and economic analysis techniques advantageous.
- High level of energy; can bring a passion to excel. Able to energize, mentor and empower the team.
- Effective time management while leading on multiple assignments, working effectively with the team, managing advisors and communicating progress and results.
- Manage in global business environment the coordinating across regions EMEA, APAC and Americas.
