About the role
We are currently recruiting an International Corporate Tax Manager in The Global Tax Department, based at Inchinnan science park behind Glasgow Airport. The team is accountable for all corporate tax compliance and transfer pricing outside of the US across 70+ countries.
The team of 20 tax professionals, covering global corporate tax and transfer pricing is led by Georgina Green, Tax Director. The Corporate Tax team is made up of 1 Senior Manager, 3 Managers and 2 Analysts. This presents an excellent opportunity for a first class, qualified tax or finance professional from an accounting firm, or from another industry setting with a desire to progress their career within corporate tax.
The Manager will be assigned a portfolio of jurisdictions and UK entities as well as specific technical areas. Responsibilities include, monitoring, supporting and co-ordinating preparation of corporate tax returns with local teams and advisors; review and preparation of provision to return reconciliations; review of local CFC position for assigned jurisdictions; input to the global tax cash forecast and monitoring payments; reviews of UK tax disclosures and returns prepared by external advisors; collaborating with the business on SAO certification and CCO documentation; coaching junior staff; managing advisors on specialist areas; ad-hoc tax queries and projects.
About the individual
- A professional qualification (ICAS, ACCA, CTA)
- Relevant experience in corporate tax gained either within the profession or in a similar role in industry.
- Ability to manage own time and take the lead on multiple assignments, working effectively with the team, managing advisors and communicating progress and results.
- Knowledge of tax concepts, ability to apply tax knowledge to situations, and discuss complex tax issues with tax leadership, advisors and finance, as appropriate.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to interact on all levels.
The Corporate Tax Manager role requires a strong finance professional, with experience in corporate tax, who can work autonomously and with confidence.
