About the role
The Finance Manager will report to the CFO and will support decision making from developing a new ERP system to board reporting, management accounts and bringing financial accounting in-house. This is a varied role working in a fast paced SME offering significant exposure across projects, systems, management accounting and statutory reporting activities. As the role grows over time, there will be an opportunity for further development across financial planning and analysis activities.
As a newly established and created role, Financial control and technical accounting skills will be pivotal here to lead the design of an internal control framework which delivers a robust stock accounting process in partnership with Operations. This is also a highly commercial role where you will be pro-active in building relationships across the business and supporting the delivery of operations. You will also support the delivery of two major projects including Changing of Banking provider and Tendering of Accounting & Audit services.
The Finance Manager will lead the cash forecasting and reporting process for the team, focussed on the development of a cash flow forecasting model and building the business relationships and understanding on the importance of this. You will look to develop process improvements and automation along the way supporting the business with it objectives across the end - end finance function. You will work as part of a team of 5 in finance with a wider team of 50 people in a collaborative and growth focused environment
About the individual
You will be a fully qualified accountant with strong technical accounting experience and interest in developing systems, processes and procedures. You will be ambitious in approach to work for a dynamic business with energy and proactive approach to problem solving. Experience working in finance teams within the SME environment will be advantageous as they look to develop processes.
