About the opportunity

Hays are Exclusively Partnered with a Governmental Body to recruit a Finance Business Partner. Offering £43,000 - £50,000 per annum plus excellent benefits the Finance Business Partner will gain exposure in interesting and tangible business activities spanning a number of organisation wide projects across a highly commercial division. 

The Finance business partner has a 1 year scope of employment with possibility of extension or permanent appointment thereafter. This role requires a confident self-starter who enjoys working on multi-disciplined projects in a fast paced business partnering environment. Benefits include generous holiday entitlement of 33 days, 35 hours working week and an excellent defined benefit pension scheme of circa 20%. 

Our client offers a largely remote working structure with occasional travel to office.

About the role

The Finance Business Partner is a critical role in the structure and will work alongside other business partners in the group. You will be involved in the effective management and partnering across all financial activities and partner with Project Managers to support Investment Decisions. This is an adaptive environment with constant change and an added value approach. 

The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for managing budgets, forecasts and spend, reviewing business cases and interacting with a variety of stakeholders. The business partner will be responsible for scenario modelling, forecasting and presenting of MI with a view to supporting decision making on a range of projects. 

Providing high quality financial information and analysis, expert advice and support to project managers portfolios, you will support service leads to effectively manage service delivery within available financial resources. Leading budgeting activities, you will work collaboratively with business intelligence teams, senior business partners and financial planning specialists to deliver informative guidance to the business.

About the individual

Ideally you will have experience in a similar role offering business partnering support across a multi-functional area or strong management accounts experience working with operations. Ideally you will be fully qualified with strong excel and data driven experience to drive decision making and strong budgeting and forecasting experience.
