About the role
The University is seeking an inspirational and strategic CFO as a key member of the Senior Executive Team. A leading architect of the University’s growth strategy, you’ll provide critical advice to the Executive, financial stewardship; and be responsible for the executive management of high-quality service functions including Finance and Estates. With your support, we’ll realise Strathclyde’s ambitious growth strategy to 2025 and beyond, increasing our income from student recruitment and research grants and delivering investments in our campus, in major projects and in our staffing resources.
The role will provide broad financial leadership and direction to the University in order to drive, deliver and support the University’s strategy for sustainable growth and development in a rapidly changing and competitive environment.
About the individual
Professionally qualified, the successful candidate will have demonstrable track record of achievement as a senior level finance professional within a large complex organisation. You will have excellent skills in financial and resource planning at a strategic level as well as expertise in leading, developing and motivating multidisciplinary teams whilst ensuring key targets are met within resource constraints. Possessing excellent negotiation, communication and analytical skills, you will also have the acumen and skills to develop productive relationships with key external bodies.
