About the opportunity

Are you a fully qualified Auditor looking for a change of scenery? Are you tired of the long commute and looking for better work/life balance? Do you have a keen interest for working on a Financial Services portfolio?

Meraki Talent is working on an exciting opportunity to join a Big 4 firm based in the Channel Islands. The Channel Islands is a UK crown dependency, located near the French coast. Both Jersey and Guernsey offer a safe place to live, with low crime rates and some of the cleanest, most beautiful beaches in Europe. You will be a short flight away from both London and continental Europe, and you will enjoy highly competitive salaries and favourable tax rates. This company prefers to promote from within rather than bringing in managers or partners externally, thus you will be offered a clear development path to match your ambitions. You will be working on a varied portfolio of Financial Services clients, including (but not limited to) wealth asset management, funds, insurance, and private equities.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, often in face-to-face setting
  • Liaise with and work under the supervision of the managers and directors
  • Support and guide more junior members of staff
  • Encourage a team-oriented, supportive, forward-thinking environment by offering new ideas and listening to the ideas of others
  • Develop a desk of FS clients, and be happy to develop your professional experience in all aspects of audit
  • Aid with business growth and take a proactive approach to business development

About the individual

  • ICAS, ACCA, ICAEW, or other equivalent qualification
  • 3+ years of external audit experience in a mid-top tier envious,of which at least 1 year in a Senior capacity
  • Strong experience of FS clientele: especially funds, wealth asset management, insurance, PE are of interest
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

What you'll get in return

  • Competitive salaries of £44,000-£49,000 depending on experience
  • Paid overtime
  • Hybrid and flexible working
  • Healthcare and pension
  • Relocation support including financial and practical help in organising your travel, accommodation, etc.
