About the organisation
Azets is an award-winning leading firm of Accountants and Business Advisers operating across the UK and the Nordics. We are a family of over 6,500 employees and work across over 80 offices in the UK alone. We have seen dramatic growth in recent years which has made us the 8th largest accountancy firm in the UK, and we are over the moon to have been awarded Accountancy Firm of the Year in the FD Excellence Survey 2020. As a result of this growth, we are now looking to invest in our skills set even further!
About the role
As a senior leader of our Audit team you will lead in dealing with commercial, technically complex clients. In combination with this, you will oversee all aspects of client engagement assuming overall responsibility for allocating work and ensuring client service is maintained at a high level. Day to day you will manage the end-to-end audit process, including budgets and timescales. You will be analysing complex business situations to identify key issues and priorities.
People management will pay a huge part of this role. We are looking for you to be the leader and driving force for the local Edinburgh audit team. Due to this, you will be working within a Managerial capacity already and will be looking for an opportunity to build on your career within a firm which will offer you the autonomy to make a difference and the support to develop your own skillset.
About the individual
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant and will have considerable experience of auditing clients within a variety of industries. In addition, you will have experience acting as a senior team member and being a key part of the end-to-end audit planning and execution process. You will enjoy working closely with an ambitious team and providing coaching and mentoring to colleagues at different stages of their career.
Career progression is important to the role, and we would be looking to support you in working towards your RI status.
