Chris Wongsosaputro CA

Chris Wongsosaputro CA chose to study for his CA qualification after developing an interest in accounting while interning at a firm and went on to follow the graduate route.
I’m currently working at EY as a Transaction Diligence Senior.
What countries have you worked in, other than the UK?
Other than the UK, I’ve worked very briefly in Singapore at school. I’ve interned at surprise, surprise, an accounting firm, which triggered my interest in accounting and in turn, the CA qualification.
What route did you take to become a CA?
I followed the graduate route to becoming a CA. I studied Economics and Statistics at UCL. I did my CA training in EY Ernst and Young.
What’s the best piece of career advice you have ever received?
The best piece of career advice I have ever received came from an Audit Associate Partner. His advice to me at the time was that each of us should know what we are worth. I did not give this advice much thought until later on, when I realised that what he meant was that each of us is unique, unique in our own capabilities and characteristics, and by bringing our true self to work, we can enrich the team and the firm that we work for.
